CEU "Baobab Leaves" Alumni Campaign 2012
Every year, the CEU Alumni Campaign gives alumni the unique opportunity to make a positive contribution to CEU and its students. Established in 2001, this campaign has raised over 300,000 USD, funded as many as 70 student scholarships and offered financial support to various CEU projects, schools, departments and programs.
The goal of the 2012 Baobab Leaves Alumni Campaign is to cultivate sustainability at CEU and across the globe.
Our objective: support innovation and the sustainability of education, a healthy environment and a socially engaged student body at CEU.
Plan of action: raise funds for: 21 student scholarships in 2012-13; new recycling facilities on campus; one or more sustainability-related research stipends for CEU students; financial relief for students in unforeseen medical emergencies; the sustainable well-being of the university.
Fundraising goal: 1/2 Million (500,000) USD by 2013. Raised by alumni so far (since 2001): $343,747. Why "Baobab"? Find out below.

More About The Baobab Leaves Alumni Campaign
Why "Baobab"? The Baobab is known as the tree of life because it is capable of providing shelter, food, clothing and even water in the dry season. Quite like the CEU alumni network, it is everlasting and the older it gets, the bigger it grows and the more capable it becomes of providing sustenance to life.
Just like the Baobab tree, CEU's global alumni network is an important, living and breathing organism which, when we work together, is capable of more than we could ever imagine.
Our Donors: CEU alumni and friends from all over the world. See our Honorary Donors List.
