Q: Where can I find jobs/internships while studying at CEU?

A: There are different sources for job openings, internship possibilities, employers search and sometimes study opportunities provided by Career Office:

• Job Vacancies online board with a selection of current opportunities (Novel login and password required for seeing the full announcements)
• Printed materials around Campus (brochures, magazines, posters on the noticeboards)
• The annual Career Fair , NGO Fair and other on and off-campus career related events

Q: Am I allowed to work while studying in Budapest?

A: Depending on the country of origin and the legal regulations, students are allowed to work in Hungary during their studies. Please contact Human Resources Department  for detailed information on CEU Policy on Student Employment or Conditions for Expatriate Employees.

Q: Where should I send my resume when applying for a job? To the Career Office or directly to the employer?

A: When applying for a job advertised through the Career channels, send your application directly to the employer (preferably addressing it to the indicated contact person). CEU Career Office will not make job application on behalf of the students.

The only occasion when Career Office collects the CEU students' and graduates' resumes is when compiling the annual Resume Book, usually during a spring campaign.

Q: How can I get in touch with CEU Alumni that work in a field / country that I am also interested to work in?

A: Alumni Relations and Career Services team can identify, upon your request, alumni that expressed their availability for mentoring students, working in a specific country, region, industry field. Your inquiries will be then forwarded to the targeted persons. As a next step, the mentors can aswer directly to you, in order to share information or personal experience. Q: Are any Career Services available after graduation?

A: After your graduation, the Career services, including guidance, access to information, job postings and participation to events, remain entirely available for you. We encourage you to contact for any related requests and we'll be happy to guide you through the services.
