Join CEU alumni and friends for a weekend biking trip, picnic and night life in Wyspy Wiślane, Poland on June 23-24, 2012

On the occasion of the summer solstice and thus the longest day of the year, join CEU alumni and friends in Poland for a fun, recreational weekend, cycling from Warsaw to Wyspy Wiślane in the morning of Saturday, June 23, 2012, having a picnic and going out to the Wianki party in the Old Town in the evening.

Morning Program

Starting at 11:00 a.m.

The group will meet in Kabaty Metro station at 11 a.m. on June 23 to discover the Wyspy Wiślane natural reserve, located on the outskirts of Konstancin, by bike and have a picnic there. The total route (there and back) is 25 km long and it is on good, paved roads that are generally free of traffic.

If you would like to join us for the picnic but would prefer not to cycle 25 km, you could also drive there and meet the group on the reserve.

Evening Program

Starting at 8:00 p.m.

That evening, in the Old Town of Wianki there will be music concerts, traditional food fairs and a lot more. Kate Melua, Wilki and other well-known acts are scheduled to perform in town.

The CEU alumni group will meet up at "Kolumna Zygmunta" at 8:00 p.m. to explore the Warsaw night life.

At midnight, the group plans to move on to the riverbank and enjoy the fireworks.

If you would like to join us, please contact the local alumni chapter leader Krzysztof via email or phone on the number listed in the event details above. Also, go ahead and join the Facebook event
