On Thursday, October 20, 2011, Andrei Lutenco (Moldova, LEGS '12), one of the 20 students who got a scholarship thanks to CEU alumni this year, is co-organizing CEU's first-ever intellectual game show series, What? Where? When? CEU alumni, students, faculty and staff are forming teams of 2 to 6 people to compete for a grand prize and the fame of being pronounced the brainiacs of the world's most international university.
On October 6, 2011, Slovak-speaking CEU alumni, students and friends were brought together in Budapest by Alumni Scholarship Recipient Veronika Korcekova (Slovakia, CPS '12). As many as 15 Slovakian alumni and students joined us for this fun and relaxed mini-reunion. It was the perfect chance to unwind with good friends from CEU, share some stories about enjoying life and studying in Budapest and even make some new contacts within the Slovakian community in the city.
On September 8th, the Slovak Alumni chapter met in Bratislava in order to gather together after the summer vacation and celebrate the 20th anniversary of CEU. Moreover, we invited Zuzana Kepplova, CEU alumna (GENS ’07), to talk about her newly launched book BUCHTY SVABACHOM and read parts of it. The book explores experiences that we all share from our studies abroad and from living in a foreign country in general.
