Belarusian Alumni, Students Give Back to CEU at Minsk Event

A group of CEU alumni and and students from Belarus met on Thursday, August 16 at the Hungarian Embassy in Minsk, where officials answered students’ questions about life in Hungary. Afterwards, the group adjourned to a local café and alumni shared their experiences of life at CEU with the students, who will begin their studies there in September. 

Alumni Summer Picnic in Moscow, or, How the Russian Alumni Chapter Became a Top CEU Donor

On August 5, 2012, CEU alumni, friends and recently admitted students got together for a day of picnicking, sunbathing, chatting, playing frisbee and volleyball, and simply having a great time together in Moscow's Gorky Park. The event gathered 21 people, among whom were alumni, friends and even a new CEU student, due to start her program in Budapest in September 2012. The event served as a way for new and existing members of the Russian alumni chapter to connect with each other over their shared experience of CEU and Budapest, while doing something positive together. 

Alumni Advise New CEU Students in Belgrade

Members of CEU Alumni and Friends in Serbia met with newly-accepted CEU students for a pre-departure orientation meeting in Belgrade on Thursday, August 9. Students met with alumni at the Belgrade Open School for a briefing on what to expect at CEU and in Budapest, where they are expected to arrive later this month.

Pre-departure orientations offer a fantastic opportunity for alumni to share their experiences with incoming students, as well as a chance for new students to meet and make connections with each other before leaving for CEU.
